Twelve names you will hear between now and April. This is a beginner board, not a scout’s thesis. Rankings move after every Saturday. Nobody here is “yours” until a club calls the name.

    Jeremiah Smith

    The name most boards still put first: a receiver who already looks like a Sunday problem. If only one college player is on UK highlights, it is usually him.

    Arch Manning

    The famous surname, and the most talked-about quarterback. Yahoo had him first in September; others wait on a full clean season. You will hear the name either way.

    Cornerback · Notre Dame

    Leonard Moore

    A long corner who plays the ball. Defence-first clubs at the top of the Draft often fall in love with this type.

    Edge rusher · South Carolina

    Dylan Stewart

    A pass rusher with bend, the kind of player who wrecks a pocket. Edge rushers go early because they change quarterbacks’ nights.

    Quarterback · Oregon

    Dante Moore

    The calm Oregon quarterback. Some writers prefer him to Manning. That argument will run until April.

    Edge rusher · Texas

    Colin Simmons

    A twitchy front-seven piece: can rush, drop, and chase. Sporting News had him inside the top five; others have him a bit later.

    Cam Coleman

    The other Texas wideout. Tall, catch-radius, red-zone threat. In a class without Smith he would be the WR everyone argues about.

    LaNorris Sellers

    A big, improvised playmaker. Stayed in school; the tape is chaotic and exciting. UK viewers will see him on Saturday highlights.

    Offensive tackle · Texas

    Trevor Goosby

    A big left tackle with light feet. Blind-side tackles protect the quarterback’s back: clubs pay for that.

    Offensive tackle · LSU

    Jordan Seaton

    An LSU tackle with length and punch. Offensive line names are quieter on telly; clubs still draft them high.

    Offensive tackle · Missouri

    Cayden Green

    A versatile lineman who has started at guard and tackle. Quiet on broadcasts; the sort of player clubs circle because he can play more than one spot.

    Wide receiver · Indiana

    Charlie Becker

    Burst onto boards after a big Indiana season. Contested catches and long speed: the “where did he come from?” name.
